Whether you’re a beginner looking to get your hands in clay for the first time or an experienced ceramic artist needing a community-driven hub…our studio is for all lovers of art and clay. We offer multi-week courses that include open studio hours, one-time workshops, and private events. All are designed to help you build your ceramic skills with a detail oriented approach, helping you build confidence and meet some new friends at the wheel or hand-building table.

Try the Wheel

Learn Pottery Basics

A fun, casual 2.5-hour workshop — perfect for friends, couples, or solo creatives. No experience necessary! You’ll learn how to prep your clay, center it and shape it. We’ll trim and finish your piece for you based on the glaze of your choice. You may pick up your masterpiece during open studio hours in about 3 weeks. Shipping will be available at an aditional charge.

Clay 101

Fundamentals

Our 6-week pottery classes in Bluffton are designed to teach the fundamentals of wheel throwing to include clay preparation and making cylinders, the core form behind many ceramic shapes. You will learn how to center, trim, and glaze your pieces. Each class is taught by experienced instructors in a step by step approach. Our principled process will help you develop strong habits and a thoughtful approach to sitting at the wheel to create your next piece.

Clay 102

Altered Forms, Surface Design & More

This 6 week pottery class expands on the foundations learned in Clay 101. Bring your skills to the next level with advanced bowl forms, throwing taller, complex trimming techniques, advanced surface design, and glazing with intention. Every week a new skill will be learned to help develop your artistic voice to create a complete body of work.

Handbuilding 101

This 6 week pottery class is designed to teach students how to create forms using fundamental handbuilding techniques, surface design and glazing. This class is suitable for beginner and intermediate potters.

Ultimate Clay Experience

Join us for a 6 hour all inclusive day of exploring pottery techniques in a step by step approach to learn all about hand building and wheel throwing in a fun supportive environment. In one day 3-5 pieces of your best work will be finished and kiln fired for you within about 3 weeks. Shipping is available at an additional charge.

We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming a space for makers of all ages and experience levels. Conveniently located in Bluffton, SC—just a short drive from Hilton Head—our studio is designed for learning, creating, and connecting. All of our beautiful, functional pieces are made and fired on-site, giving students a true hands-on experience.
